Aaron Finch’s Consecutive Ton Punishes Luckless Pakistan In Second ODI

The Australian Cricket team continued its excellent run against Pakistan by winning the second ODI by eight wickets, mostly due to the 209-run first-wicket partnership between openers Aaron Finch and Usman Khawaja, with the Skipper ending with his second consecutive ton in as many matches.

After opting to bat first, Pakistan posted 284 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, mainly due to Mohammad Rizwan’s maiden ODI century and stand-in Skipper Shoaib Malik’s 60.

Chasing 285 runs to win the match and take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series, Australia began in an excellent manner with the Captain scoring career-best 153 not out and Usman Khawaja supporting him with an innings of 88.

Despite having express pacer Mohammad Hasnain in the bowling line up, Pakistan failed to take more than 2 wickets, as the visitors ended the match in the 48th over.

Then there was the news regarding Aussie pacer Jhye Richardson left the field in the eleventh over after dislocating his shoulder while fielding and is unlikely to play in the remaining matches of the series.

Both the Cricket teams will now move to Abu Dhabi where they will face each other in the third match on Wednesday.
