One of the most popular TV actors of the last 30 years Luke Perry, known for roles in “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Riverdale,” passed on Monday at the age of 52, in the wake of enduring an enormous stroke on Wednesday.
“Perry was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, life partner Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, sibling Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and companions,” his representative said in an announcement. “The family acknowledges the overflowing of help and prays that have been reached out to Luke from around the globe, and respectfully ask for privacy in this time of incredible grieving.”
Luke Perry was born in Mansfield, Ohio, and moved to Los Angeles after secondary school to become an actor. His TV career started at 16, and he started to gain recognition popular after his appearances in a few TV shows.
It was in 1990 that Luke Perry became overnight famous for playing the Dylan McKay on the raving success high schooler drama”Beverly Hills, 90210″. The show turned into a marvel, catapulting Luke Perry to out and out teen icon status.
Luke Perry later went onto appear in countless TV shows including “Body of Proof” and “Riverdale” where he played Archie Andrews father Fred and will make his final appearance in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood,” playing actor Wayne Maunder.
