Pakistan Super League entered its final phase as Peshawar Zalmi beat Karachi Kings in the National Stadium by 61 runs to snatch the top position from Quetta Gladiators. With that, the playoff lineup of the fourth edition of the PSL was finalized and now we are waiting for the next two matches, that will decide which teams will end up in the grand finale.
In the Qualifier match, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators will fight for a place in the final; the match will be played at the National Stadium on 13th March and the winner will qualify for the grand finale. The losing team will get another chance to qualify for the final as they will have to play the winner of the first Eliminator, played between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings on 14th March. The losing team in this match will be eliminated while the winner will go into the next do-and-die match against the losing side of the Qualifier on 15th March.
The grand finale will be played in Karachi on 17th March where the two best sides of the tournament will play for the coveted trophy. So far Islamabad United have won the PSL on two occasions while Peshawar Zalmi have managed to take back the trophy once. Let’s see whether any of these teams manage to add to their tally of trophies or a new winner is introduced at the end of the fourth season.
