Sri Lankan cricket team will land in Pakistan to play two Test matches of the ICC World Test Championship after the World Cup, heralding the return of Test Cricket in the country after 10 years.
The matches are expected to be played in Lahore and Karachi. Ironically it was the Sri Lankan team that was attacked in Lahore in March 2009 after which Pakistan was forced to play its home series abroad.
In the ICC Test Championship, nine groups would play against each other, and the Islanders will play their matches in Pakistan.
PCB is trying hard to bring the international players back to the Pakistani stadiums and it only got possible after the success of recent PSL matches for which lots of international cricketers visited Pakistan. Due to that the international cricket community is gaining confidence and pondering to visit Pakistan for the upcoming matches.
