Words Of PTI’s Criticism Are Coming Back To Haunt Them

Social media is a dark place. One slip-up and your entire career may be in jeopardy. Everything you post online is being closely monitored and the moral police are out in full force to hold you accountable on your every move.

“Shireen Mazari, PTI Government’s Minister for Human Rights, is one such example of an outspoken and daring public figure, who is embroiled in controversial statements day in day out.”

This social media policing is even more observable when a public figure makes a fool out of themselves. Shireen Mazari, PTI Government’s Minister for Human Rights, is one such example of an outspoken and daring public figure, who is embroiled in controversial statements day in day out.

“When Prime Minister Imran Khan reshuffled some of his cabinet members on April 20, it spelled the end of the road for Asad Umar as the Finance Minister”

When Prime Minister Imran Khan reshuffled some of his cabinet members on April 20, it spelled the end of the road for Asad Umar as the Finance Minister, and Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has since been chosen as the advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance, Revenue, and Economic Affairs.

Naturally, social media didn’t let any stone unturned and dug up old tweets of Shireen Mazari in which she is seen posting humiliating remarks regarding Hafeez Shaikh at every opportunity she can.

Clearly, the current human rights minister is not a big fan of Hafeez Shaikh, as evident from these tweets.

Which begs the question as to how PTI can justify these choices and how well these cabinet members get along with one another.

If there is no mutual respect and synergy among PM Imran Khan’s cabinet members, then how can the common man count on such a disjointed cabinet and expect them to make their lives better?

Ms. Mazari is not a stranger to controversial tweets. When she is not busy doing her actual job, she is either having to make amends and diffuse the fire set by her daughter, Imaan Mazari’s controversial take on current affairs or making a fool out of herself by outrageously claiming that ICC should ban international cricket in New Zealand following the recent mosque shootings on March 15.

All things considered, it seems that the people of Pakistan are gradually losing hope in the current Government as it fails to counter inflation and turn the economy around.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan needs to set his house in order and his cabinet ministers would do well to use social media responsibly and professionally.”

It’s been almost a year since the General Elections were held and it already seems as if the new PTI Government is running through the motions. Prime Minister Imran Khan needs to set his house in order and his cabinet ministers would do well to use social media responsibly and professionally.
